Trees provide a multitude of benefits, both long and short term. As well as being attractive aesthetically, they remove and store carbon monoxide , dioxide and sulphur from the atmosphere, slow heavy rain reduce soil erosion and also reduce the risk of flooding, enhance air quality and improve the urban heat effect by reflecting sunlight, they reduce temperature and providing shade.

Tree Biodiversity. The diversity of life that a tree can support is incredible. A single tree in the tropical rainforest can house up to 2,000 different species of insects, birds, amphibians, reptiles, mammals, fungi, mosses and epiphytic plants! Trees are an important component of biodiversity.

SAR is a Chennai based was founded in 2014 and is run by a group of passionate and nature lovers. We believe in action, we give native saplings and seeds to those who are interested in taking this green movement forward, we are trying to preserve our environment without much noise.

SAR since its inception, this initiative has added around 25000 both commercial and native trees, We have sowed around 100 kg of seeds in barren lands of Tamilnadu and Karnataka during rainy season. The resulting seedlings are planted in a random, non-linear pattern. Particular attention is paid to the pioneer species such as HONGE MARA (Avenue tree), Neem tree and fruit yielding tree.
